Profile

Accounting × Entrepreneurship
I am currently working on the CPA exam and planning on launching my career in the field of accounting. As my mid-term vision, I am inclined to work as a financial advisor as well as a business consultant. In terms of my long-term ambition, I have a plan to found my own business or join startups as a team member by utilizing the combination of my expertise in accounting & finance and my passion for the causes I care about.
Animal Welare × Music Environment
The causes I primarily care about include animal welfare and arts & culture with a strong emphasis on musicians' environment.
I have a Shiba Inu (a dog breed), named Riku, back at home in Japan since I was 10. It is delightful how much he cares about all people he has made friends with. As I lived with him for a long time and realized that Riku has emotions to just the same degree as human beings, my love for animals has grown stronger and I become a pescatarian. For this reason, I am inclined to participate in businesses that can enhance animal welfare in any form.
With my paassion for music, I am definitely intereted in

Business × Music
My name is Koh Kitagawa and I am currently an aspiring CPA (Certified Public Accountant) & Business Consultant as well as an aspiring Music Composer & Keyboardist.
While I was born and raised in Nara (near Osaka), Japan and went to local schools up to high school, I chose to study abroad for my undergraduate degree in the U.S.
I attended Boston University's School of Management from September 2010 through June 2014 and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
While I am extremely inclined to launch my career in the professional services industry and expose myself to the business environment, I have a strong passion for music. After the sun goes down and I get some food for dinner (a.k.a. my daily intake of sushi & rolls—just kidding), I go to the music practice room at school and play music on the piano & keyboard. I usually play rock and pop music but I play other genres as well.
I strive to achieve my goals both in the business world and in the music industry—first of all, because I simply have a strong passion for both—but also because I have a strong belief that the balance between left and right brain broadens my horizons. Since the left and right sides of the brain focus on different skills, left-right brain balance enables an individual to be both rational & analytical and spontaneous & creative at the same time. As a result, by stimulating both left and right sides of brain to maintain the balance at a high level, I believe that I can approach logical problems creatively & creative problems logically.
Generally, it is known that the ability to think logically is necessary in the business environment. To achieve goals at a high level, however, the ability to think creatively is also essential. In terms of the music field, the necessity to be creative is well-recognized already; however, it is also crucial, in my opinion, to be analytical and logical when making and playing music.
Therefore, in my belief, striving hard to achieve my goals in the business world (which enhances my left brain) and endeavoring to achieve my goals in the music world (which enhances my right brain) influence each other in a positive manner. By working on both at a time, I believe that there is a better chance of achieving both.
Lastly...
As a recent graduate preparing for the CPA exam and practicing music, I currently live in Boston. I welcome both business & music opportunities in Boston/NY areas. Please feel to reach out to me through this contact form or at one of my social media accounts shared at the top.

"There is a case for a link between left-right brain balacne and our state of emotional balance"

"Improve your brain balance and figure out how to synchronize your two hemispheres to benefit from the full potential of a whole brain state or brain balancing."
